Hello folks, it with sadness I read of Ron’s passing . In this life , what an interesting man! In his next journey we are all left wondering, but he had demonstrated his faith so it will be exciting for all.
I was and still am an RS fan , and love the references to Ron. His testimony to me was amazing and encouraging to hear as a listener and reader from afar.
We are joined together in the testimony of our Lord Jesus the Christ.

This man meant the world to me. As a young teenager, I listened to Ron at Mt Hermon summer camp speak God’s truth & love in a way I had never heard before. I remember walking around camp & observing the way Ron always had a group around him, he was just like how I imagined Jesus was. His sense of humor, strong male voice & commanding presence with those intense eyes, made me feel like I had just met Jesus. I will forever be grateful for his life & teachings. I miss those beautiful Body Life services in the 70’s at PBC…….what an amazing time!!! I imagine my father, Ivan Joffer, hanging out with Ron in heaven now. How I long to see them again.
Blessed to have met and learned from Ron Ritchie back in the 80’s while we lived in Cupertino and attended PBC. Impressive man of God who spoke and lived the truths of God. When leading men’s Bible studies or supervising activities (church/banking/school/coaching), I used Ron’s 1-Rule: “Just Show Up” …… with the confidence that God will use you …. and it works in so many ways …
Perhaps silly to leave a comment about Ron so many years after his passing (into heaven). But I was thinking about Ron tonight and how he helped me connect with God. March 26, 1972 at Mt. Herman was when Ron, serving as a “visual expression of the invisible God” (JB Phillips), helped me open my heart to God and learn that God wanted me. Now, 54 years later, having been given so much good from God along with the thorns in the flesh of two divorces and two children that won’t talk to me, I still know that God walks with me and continues to teach me to be more like Him. Thank you, Ron, for loving me and helping me open the door of my heart.
Disciple - mathetes, lit., "a learner accomplished by endeavor, a pupil, and adherent...an imitator of their teacher." (See John 8:31,) W.E. Vine, Vine's Expository
